apparently the words are stored in t9english.dll but you cant copy it over because its held in the rom..

what if you were to hard reset and copy this file over before the phone connects to active sync, similar to copying the file over when you software unlock your phone.. would this work?

could someone send me their 1.5 orange rom t9english.dll so i can try? :- D

nice, does the Euotel rom allow you to store ringtones on the SD card like the qtek with no 3rd party software?

According to their discussion, the Eurotel has the same feature as the Qtek plus the English T9

When I say forget I mean stored words are sometimes lost.

Myke:

 :?: So...now I'm confused...does the Eurotel update have 'GOOD English T9' (unlike the QTek)? Some people in the Pinoy forum seem to say 'yes'...but you are saying otherwise. I want to make sure before I change from the QTek ROM to Eurotel.

Thanks dude....LOS aka 'thekrush'

I had a Eurotel Smartphone (now sold for e100) and as far as I am aware the T9's English dictionary is the same as my new phones. I see no difference. Both still forget saved words as well.

Eurotel might have more small words in the dictionary, but forget any semi complex words... like cereal. Also to type "me" you have to hit 63 then 0 six times to scroll through all the words with the weird symbols. I would like to use the Qtek rom because of the better splash screen and more programs, but if only i could replace it with the orange dictionary..
