Guest paulproctor Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 Hi All, Does anyone know of a decent application launcher? i find the standard SPV menu system a real pain in the a**e, especially when i've loaded so many different apps onto my phone. i really like the palm way of doing things - with all the program icons displayed on a single page so that you can select anything with a couple of presses. any advice much appreciated...
Guest benjymous Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 If you don't like cycling through lots of pages of programs menu, then just organise your shortcuts into sub folders This is how my program menu looks 1. Inbox/SMS 2. Contacts 3. Calendar 4. Internet Explorer 5. Call History 6. Settings 7. Shortcuts 8. Windows Media 9. More... Pressing 9 takes you to the second menu containing folders 1. Accessories 2. Docs 3. Games 4. Microsoft 5. Orange 6. Tools This way, any app is only a few clicks away, rather than having to cycle between lots of menu pages of apps
Guest paulproctor Posted August 24, 2003 Report Posted August 24, 2003 great idea-thanks, why didnt i think of that?! would still be nice to see a better launcher though... Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest PsychoDave Posted August 25, 2003 Report Posted August 25, 2003 Have you tried using the speed dials? I use them all the time, saves using the programs menu too much. Just highlight a program in the menu hit the right softkey and choose add speedial, choose a number and thats it. You then just need to hold the number for a few seconds and the prog will start. Nice and easy. Hope it helps :)
