Guest prakash Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 i switched off my fone last nite, then switched it back on, and it wont go past the orange sunset logo screen, ive tried taking the battery out and switching it back on again, still doesnt work. NEED HELP!!! I foned orange, they said i should take the battery out and then put it back in, put my fone on charge and after 10mins switch the fone back on. Tried it but still doesnt work, is my fone naffed or is it a simple problem that can be solved?........any one got any other ideas, please help! Ash
Guest blewer Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 How long did you leave it? If it has performed a partial reset of it's own accord then it could take several mins before it loads up. Try turning it on and leaving it for 15 mins or so. Let us know what happens. Good luck Adam
Guest prakash Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 left it on the chrger for around 10-15mins, switchedit on while it was on charge as the orange guy said, but it still stays on the ornage sunset logo screen. Ive left it on that screen for ages like 10mins, still no luck, it simply doesnt go beyond the sunset screen, is my fone naffed or what? Do i need to do a hard reset, i really dont want to, coz i'll lose all my text msges too.....any other ideas on what i should do to get it past teh orange sunset logo screen? Ash

Guest blewer Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 Yup, I think a hard re-set is your answer.
Guest PsychoDave Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 Yup, mine did the same thing Hard Reset and everthing was groovy again. Best of luck mate. :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 As mentioned above a hard reset normally fixes this but failing that you may need to run an update to reflash the phone.
