CAN SOMEONE HELP ME MAKE MY WEBSITE HALF DECENT

Hi.....

I am trying to get my head around html....I have put a website together at www.my-spv.co.uk but its boring dull and I dont think anyone is going to even bother visiting it....

I need help and advice to any links on the internet or general help as to how I can make it work.

I have got the basics together but its just does look very interesting.

If anyone wants to help build it. that would be wonoderful as I am pretty busy at moment.

any feedback or sugestions (only constructive please as i already know its crap!!)....would be appreciated.

It would be great to make it visitable and helpful like some of the other spv dedicated sites I have been to.

I only wanted to make a site that would save newbies the time and trouble I went through when i first got my spv canary. I now own a tanager.

Hi mate.

The basic design of the site is quite good. I've seen many sites that look totally cluttered, and as a result look like a pile of s***... The first thing you need to look into is PHP. Because your basic template is quite simple, a bit of PHP would help the site to look more dynamic. With that you can make a basic header, using that logo, and a footer with your basic copyright info, and a small hit counter. Take out the marquee, it makes it look tacky.

The logo itself needs work, it looks like it's come off of a box of washing powder from the 70's. Perhaps change the colour and make it sharper?

The main bit in the middle needs to be presented better.. I sugest you draw up a few logos for the different sections, you know, a little SPV with an open padlock in front of it for the 'unlock SPV' section, etc etc. Also try a different font, a bold 'verdana' looks quite nice and there's no chance that the buggers using out-dated operating systems wont have it!
