Home screen editor - soon to be reality !!!

I had chance to test beta stage of Home Screen Editor with features, what almost everybody who likes homescreen and color scheme changes and customisation. I cannot name the company etc, but watch this space - soon to be released details.

So far I can only tell you, that it´s absolutelly fantastic WYSIWYG editor - move plugins from available list in order you want them, edit all plugin options including text size, positions and effects, edit your scheme colors and save it in a package as homescreen to your phone. Of coarse it can open any XML homescreens for easy modifications etc. Just fantastic. You will see - soon!

Yes, it will be something like a FrontPage for Smartphone. You can create absolutelly fantastic homescreens without any knowledge of plugins etc. It´s not as simple as drag&drop, but you can sort your plugins order, positions, colors, parameters etc. And you have preview of the plugins and positions, colors etc. Just great!

I dunno if this IS the new app for homescreens - I got that about March/April this year, so it has been going around for a while! It is a very good tool - especially if you have little or no idea about xml. However, it is slightly limited I thought - I could never figure a way of setting x & y values for plugins - just top, middle, bottom, left, right.

But it is definately good stuff for starters. And it will create an xml for you very quickly & with a rough preview guide - which you can edit with notepad for more detail, you know! :wink:

Still, having said all that I have no idea of what it's called or where to get it! :oops:

Actually, the name of the program is SPV Home & Theme Machine v4.6 released 30/12/02. Sorry Tomas :?

Its a 3-day trialware/shareware that works on Windows 2000 and XP only. Full version costs UK£10.00.

No, it´s not the same software. One I´m testing now seems much user friendly. Color schemes are visible in examples, not just by names etc. As far, as I know, it will be regular software, what you will be able to purchase and download online as any other software. I hope, they will do reasonable cost. Anyway, it is able to upload/download anything to/from phone, so you can download your current scheme or homescreen, modify anything and send it back, of coarse you can easy open any existing homescreen skin and modify it etc. Color setup is a extremelly easy and with visual display (examples) is very easy to create all required screens for your skin.

I´ve been out for couple days. Sorry for delay in answers. Anyway, software, what I have here is different - different concept, different logic and features. It allows to create everything, including very fine tuning of the plugins, positions etc. So far I could not find anything, what is impossible to do with this sofware, apart from using custom made plugins. This is, what I reported to the software developers. But definitelly - mine is different software. Once I will know more and will be able to release it, I will post it.

Software, what I´m testing should be ready in about one week time... I just created some great skins today and there are few bugs, what the developer need to solve, but it´s functional and I think very good software...
