connection settings mess

I just upgraded to the Qtek OS and have experienced a justifiably enormous increase in responsivity.

unfortunately all the data connection settings have been wiped

not just what they were set to but even the names of the options!

ie I will have to write the options from scratch rather than select one from the list.

I seem to remember a piece of software that automatically set up all orange uk data connections but despite searches cannot find it.

any advice?

Wasn't there something on the orange cd that came with the phone that did something similar.

My poor memory can't stretch that far back.....any one else remember.

(or better still just check the cd :roll: )

It's called the "Desktop Configuration Utility", and is "dcu.exe" on your companion CD.

Take a look in the GPRS settings repository in the Articles forum for a full rundown of the Orange UK GPRS settings.

the orange cd wizard bears little correlation to the settings page.

the distinction between

Orange WAP Proxy/WAP proxy

and

Orange WAP/WAP GPRS

is lost etc
