SPV Moblog'ing with photo attachments

This thread brings up some questions about moblog'ing via email with photo attachments with an SPV. Now, I understand that somehow, you are able to send an email with an attached photograph (taken with the phone's camera), and it somehow posts it as a moblog entry (I've only seen it done with movable type) with the attached photograph as an image. How exactly is this done?

I've flicked through movable type, and there doesn't appear to be anything about receiving entries from emails. Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are a bunch of services out there such as TextAmerica that allow you to post to a personal site in their domain for free. (See Paul's and Brody's Signatures)

Movable Type requires a plugin I believe. Walk thru their forums...I think I saw it there.
