SD Card Problem

Don't know if anyone can help me, I'm having trouble formatting my new SD card on my SPV. When I insert the card the screen asks if I want to format it, I click yes, and it reports 'an error occurred while formatting (error code 1400).' I don't think it is the card because I can't use my official orange SD card either. Any advice would be extremely welcome. :?

Already tried that, I wish it was that simple. I've been looking everywhere for anyone with similar problems, but i'm starting to get that sinking feeling. It used to be fine with the Orange add on card, but one day all my files disappeared from the card, loads of stuff lost, and I can't seem to use any cards since. Orange send me to Microsoft and Microsoft just don't answer. It's really frustrating.

i had this problem with my old phone... i fixed it only by a hard reset of the phone.

i tried everything else.

i would suggest you try formating the card with a pc case reader first though.

Well, I bought a card reader for my pc, formatted the sd card, put it back in my phone and it still asked if I wanted to format it, with the same result. So I resorted to the hard reset. Managed that ok, (lost a couple of progs but what the hey). Tried again with the sd card and .... Aaarrgghh! No change! Now I'm back to square one, but I can't seem to download any software now either so I've lost my file manager aswell. Have you ever had one of those days?

Get it fixed. Speak to Orange. If you haven't got care or a contract where you can buy emergency care, you'll need to phone Hays on 01295662109.
