Speakers for SPV

Im sure many of you have thought whilst listening to a tune through that tiny speaker " why cant I get some speakers for my SPV?" Well ive been trying to figure how I can do this and Im completely gazumped!! :oops: Has anybody actually got some 2.5mm speakers to work or done some sort of conversion. Im sure im not the only one who will be grateful

i thought that but if you look at the jack on the spv headset it has 3 black stripes on it where a stereo normally has 2 . So i thought i might have a problem....But if you have tried it and it works fine i would be pleased

yup, it works fine for me, with headphones aswell as speakers, i get stereo sound :)

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but the third 'stripe' is for the mic, which just becomes redundant when using a stereo only adapter.

Go on then. The stripes (black) are isolaters between the 4 conductors (gold-ish) (mic, stereo left, stereo right and earth) :) ;)

An adapter will still have to have the right amount of isolators/conductors but in a pair of headphones the mic (+ possibly earth) is not connected.

I didn't mean that the actual stripe was the mic, just that this created a another contact for the mic. So, was I right then? ;-)

Thanks to all!! bought a 2.5 to 3.5 adaptor and it works fine!!
