Guest nixy Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 After upgrading my rom to the Eurotel 1.50, the skins I enjoy using on my phone with program shortcuts are bypassed. The images that make up the skin with any program shortcuts are passedby instead of accessing the program shortcut on it. I noticed this with the Q-Tek update too. Any ideas why.
Guest Richie M Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 Yeah, this is probably because they use Oranges Shortcut plug-in, therefore they wont be included in a "foreign" ROM
Guest frarnold Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 Hm, I think you're damn right there, mate. Question is though: where would one find these Orange plug-ins?
Guest Richie M Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 They are in the Windows directory and therefore part of the Orange ROM :?
Guest nixy Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 What a downer.....I really liked having especially the DX_PPC skin. Its a shame about the plugins. Its looking like I might be a LOT better off going back to the original Orange rom and waiting for the new "official" upgrade, even though I wont have the sms word counter......oh well.....at least the t9 will be useful once more... Has anyone tried the new iMov messenger jabber client yet. I purchased it it yesterday, and now think its the best thing since sliced bread. Works great and allows comms with all four messenging clients such as MSN, ICQ, AOL and Yahoo all at same time......

Had the program for months .. and it has a bunch of sucky errors .. but apart from that, it's really nice to have all of the messengers in one proggy!
Guest nixy Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 i am starting to see what u mean about imov. Dont they test software anymore....
Guest nixy Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 Okay...........HELP!!! Three times this morning I reinstalled the Orange backup and all went well. trouble is now that the spv cant get itself past the Orange boot screen after any of the reinstallations...!! Tried again and again in vain but to no avail. So have had to revert back to the i-Mate rom update.
Guest nixy Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 They are in the Windows directory and therefore part of the Orange ROM :? Which files are used...do u have any idea. I have a spare SPV E100 with original rom and can copy over what I can of the windows directory. Its worth a shot me thinks.........
