Guest matanglawin Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Anyone interested in a little program to send business cards and calender entries via sms? INTERESTED! er...if and when you release the program, will it be classified as freeware (i sure hope so)?
Guest beersoft Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 I think it will be free to my friends here, i have some stupid questions for you guys, do you want to send all the contact info or selected fields? i know SFP's (stupid finnish phones) grumble when you send them too much info, and that we have about 120 char's to play with after the basic vcard overhead im going to go for name work number home number mobile email address if you think you need more than that then mine is a stella, and i need lots :0 later Owen "it all depends on how well it works and if i can fix my visual studio install on the machine-o-love"
Guest blewer Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 That should be enough info. Cheers, can't wait :)
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Would be great to be able to RECEIVE them... P
Guest beersoft Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 good point, Last time i spoke to ODS (Orange Data Service), they said 'we tried it and it works' i tried it and it doesnt work, the fibbers. if i do it with the betterhalfs nokia7250 and the messages goes then never gets here, i feel a moan to orange about this. -- Owen 'La La La"
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 Yeah, ditto... That REALLY sucks... P
Guest Rothes Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 I must say, it was a major oversite on the part of Orange, to only be able to beam the contact.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Wonder it it's fixed on 2003? P
Guest looeee Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 ...only be able to beam the contact I've noticed that you can import them from email .vcf attatchments too looeee
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 Hmmm granted I don't quite know if this is what you are talking about ... but I received a vcard today from a S/E T610, it looked like this: BEGIN:VCARD VERSION:2.1 N:Anette Hansen; EMAIL;INTERNET;PREF:fake emailihotmail.com TEL;CELL:61xxxxxx END:VARD the email didn't have an @ but an i instead
Guest A.Hughes Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 hi, any news on development of this app yet, read all the posts and i think it would be blummin marvellous to have this on the smartphone,,as a relative newbie,,this is something i get asked for by people all the time,,,send us a bus card with the info........... lets know if you do get round to finishing it and making it available. cheers
Guest madu Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 SmartPhone can read .vcf files (contact exported from outlook in a file). Possible that it sends one as attachment by email, then runs as a file on SPV. Though only would work for .vcf (and email) supporting phones. Good idea though, waiting to see it in the Prize 2003 comp;)
Guest rohinsadh1 Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 So do we get this app ? RJV has one but it only sends phone # nothing else :-(
