Hey guys,

I'm still a bit of a newb with my Orange spv e100 and i was wondering if there was a way to change the way the contacts are viewed, ie not surname and name, but name and surname. I'm sure i saw it somewhere but now i cant seem to find the option again. :roll:

Also i would like to know if its possible to choose what shortcuts you have on the homepage. What i mean by that is, i have the screen view with large icons at the top and i want to choose which ones go on there. Anyway i can do that? :shock:

Yeah, it's an option for the individual contact. If you edit the contact and scroll right down to the bottom, there's an option "File as" that allows you to change just this. Don't know how you can do it for all your contacts at once though.

Yeah, I'd like to know if there's an easy way to do this. I know you can edit the registry to change the default ones, but this menu is called the Most Recently Used (MRU) so will automatically update with just that. I think you'd have to edit the XML or download a skin to keep only permanent ones there.

I've not tried this because I've always set my "File As" option as Firstname Lastname since day dot with outlook but it will go through your outlook contacts and set them all this way so all you'd have to do then is sync your phone and voila! Or something :)

Anyway, go to www.coolsmartphone.com and in the utils sections of downloads, there is an "Outlook Contact Re-Format" tool that should do what you want ;)
