Guest mar9118 Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Try doing a 'hard reset' it may help solve the problem, I am also using Qtek ROM 1.50.9.1 but did not encounter such problem  If you have an SD/ MMC card you should backup your IPSM so that it can be restored later :)
Guest jamesh Posted September 5, 2003 Report Posted September 5, 2003 Please help where can I download the upgrade Qtek 1.50.9.1 and how do I back up my IPSM to my SD Card before I upgrade.
Guest mar9118 Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 First, do you have a lot of programs installed in your Qtek 7070? will it be too troublesome to reinstall the programs, homesreens, ringtones again? if no just sync your phone with your desktop to make sure that your inbox, address book, etc. are updated and proceed with the update, I always do it that way to have a fresh start :) Click link to download Qtek 1.50.9.1 update: http://www.qtek.nu/files/Qtek150.zip
Guest jamesh Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 Need help, could not upgrade to Qtek 1.5, it says my rom image is corrupt, "checksum image error" What should I do?
Guest jamesh Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 Do I need to do a hard reset? How do I do a hard reset. I was able to upgrade to Qtek before when my phone was still on SAP 1.3.7, then I downgrade to i-mate 1.50.8, now I wanted to go back to Qtek 1.50.9 nd I can't.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 If you are running the I-mate why do you want the Qtek? they are basically the same update. (you did not downgrade to I-Mate) If you do want to install the Qtek you need to run it from the canary screen. Also when you run an update it's always best to do a Hard Reset as the IPSM needs to be reset properly. Moved to Help and Advice
Guest jamesh Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 Well they say that Qtek runs faster, I don't know how to do a hard reset and I did try to upgrade on the canary screen.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 I would be very surprised if you would notice a difference between the two OS, it just depends on set up and what you have running at the time. As for a Hard Reset just click on the words Hard Reset for instructions on how to do it ;)
Guest jamesh Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 awarner Thanks for the reply, I guess I will stick with the i-mate upgrade in the meantime so as not to complicate matters. I will just wait for the 1.6 upgrade. :D ;)
