"Help"

I have been using my SPV to dial onto win2000 and NT4 servers so I can use the telnet app.

I have set up a new dial up connection but I am unable to use it as a "work connection"

I've done a Search on this subject but couldnt find anything relevent.

I have had to set up the connection as the internet connection so that my phone dials when I try to get on to a web page.

The connection is an analoge modem and it dials no problem when I open internet explorer. After a while it seems to disconnect me(I presume because of internet inactivity)

When I set this as my work connection I cannot find the option to dial it!

Also when I have my phone connected to a modem does anyone know how to disconect it? I have the connected icon in the top where the signal counter is!!!

Does anyone know anything about this that I cant find??

Thanx

(I also posted this in software and microsoft.public.smartphone forums)

I'm not exactly sure what your trying to do but...

For pocket IE to use the work connection with dialup you must create the dialup and point it to 'My Corporate network' and then change IE settings to 'Select Network: Corporate Network' (+untick auto detect settings).

I'm not sure about getting other apps to use the work connection as default.

Is this what you are trying to do ?

For the disconnection (timeout) check settings - data connections, menu-options and increase the idle disconnect after time (10 minutes max).
