Guest drblow Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 I have done a search about this, & the only reference I can find is about people using old OS (win 95 or NT) - but I have Win XP home, & my activesync connection worked perfectly about half an hour ago!! Now it says that the usb connection is not supported & won't find my phone! I haven't done anything except remove the phone from the cradle & then put it back in again! Help!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 Tried rebooting PC/phone, or trying a different USB port, directly into your PC (not through a hub)?
Guest drblow Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 Mmmm..... tried all them already - still says connection disabled & usb not supported!?? I don't have a hub & I've tried both usb ports ... it was working this afternoon!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 Checked that USB coonection is turned on in ActiveSync connection settings?
Guest drblow Posted August 31, 2003 Report Posted August 31, 2003 Yeah - the problem was that when I went to connection settings, the usb tick box was closed off, saying usb not supported - which was weird since 10 mins before that I had just removed the phone from the cradle having been using activesync for about half an hour!!?? I eventually had to reinstall activesync, which fixed it - just hope it doesn't happen again!!
