I READ THIS IN INTERNET!!! wi-fi card got my attention when I was watching TOMB RAIDER 2,, IS THIS sd wi-fi card available in the philippines already?? how do we use it??? is it compatible with spv???? :?: :!: :roll:

i think d sd slot of the spv or spvx (tanager) is not SDIO, so it wont work on our phone. our sd slot is good only for memory.

I think the memory expansion slot of the SAP can handle SDIO accessories. It's only a matter of supporting these devices with the appropriate drivers or device handlers.

it says Smartphone 2002 units can use SDIO.

Unless I didn't read them correctly. hehe...

Nope :-( .. Smartphones (Atleast SPV doesnt) don't have the SDIO Now! interface. Also, have a look at the following link.

I wrote to sandisk asking them if they had plans of releasing drivers for the smartphone (Any smartphone). And they said that they have no plans whatsoever :-(.

according to the site you listed, some units are compatible but need ROM upgrade. So it's possible that a more recent ROM upgrade for the SPV/x would allow for SDIO support.

Sandisk may not support smartphones but some other company might.... hopefully. :)

Expansion Options Built-in Expansions:

- Integrated MMC/SD memory card slot with SDIO Support*

- Infrared

- Digital camera

*SDIO is an input/output method using the SD removable memory hardware connector. It enables high speed data accessories such as cameras to use the exisiting hardware slot on the device.

Probably, the recent version of SPV (SPVx or SAP) supports SDIO.
