For the best result try to use P800 headset when you play music or movies compared to the original smartphone headset.

is that 2.5MM as well? How much is the headset for P800?

I already bought the original headset from Smart Wireless, it's not too bad actually. Me volume control pa :)

re: p800 headset, di ba mahal yun? gumagana ba yung mic sa sap? kung hindi rin naman, mas maganda pa rin tunog ng headset ng original 5510.

I think it's better to check out the wireless center in makati(greenbelt or the one in ayala ave.) for headsets and other accessories. That's where I bought mine. I think dun lagi ata silang may stock e. correct me if I'm wrong... :) before kasi almost all the wireless centers na tanungan ko for SAP accessories, they would always tell me that they have no stock and would always refer me to their makati branches... fyi lang... ;)

I saw an original SAP headphones set and car charger (each sold separately) at Smart Wireless SM North EDSA carpark. the car charger is the one piece type (like nokia's) and sells for P850. Unfortunately I didn't get around to asking how much the headphones were. Anyway they're both displayed and as of last week, they still had stock.

i tried testing N6510's headset last night... di siya ganon kaganda tumunog... di kagaya ng sa P800... sulit ka sa tunog!!!

and, pag ipinasok mo nang todo yung jack, di na siya tumutunog... bakit kaya?

the original stereo headphone for the SAP is still the best for the SAP :)

The jack for the smartphone consists of 3 layers compared to the normal 2 layers of standard stereo plug. The third layer, closest to the skin, is suppose to be the mic component.

I found this out when I bought a 3.5mm to 2.5mm converter in SM hardware which I had to make some alterations with to insulate some parts of the the 2nd layer from touching the 3rd layer of the smartphone outlet. I put a cutex (nail color hehehe) to do the trick :) Now I'm using it to connect the smartphone with a karaoke. Superb sound.

I suspect yung sa nokia 6510 eh 1 or 2 layer(s) lang kaya panget ang tunog. Actually sa case ko nawawala yung tunog ng either left or right speaker ng karaoke before I made the modification. Shorted kasi yung 2nd layer nya with the third layer of the smarphone kaya ganun.
