I have been trying it put I get an error saying it can't find my IMEI number on the database. It worked before!

I turned my phone off last night and when I turned it back on this morning the phone was completely reset and locked :-(

Man I am pissed! Has anyone seen this before?

Sounds more like you experienced a Partial reset

or did you lose your contacts etc as well?

It was a partial reset. I have all my data including s/w that was installed previously - even though half of it won't work now as my phone is cert locked :-(

I have never seen that happen before. If I could unlock the phone on the Orange developers page I probably wouldn't be up here posting all my sorrows :-)

Try the link in my post above, as for not recognising your IMEI are you sure you

have not just entered the wrong telephone format instead? ie +44 etc?

But anyhow my phone is now completely "en panne". I synchronised last night and after the sync. all the shortcuts in the start program list lost their icons and when I clicked on any program it told me the program could not be found.

Now when I restarted the phone ( a quick CTRL + ALT + DEL ;-) ) the phone just stays in the Orange welcome screen. I tried the boot-loader but that won't load either!

So I think in my despair I will visit the good doctors at Orange!

This can happen normally the fix is to remove the SD card then reinsert it again.

One way to fix this it to run the update for the phone from the Canary screen.

I managed a full hard reset and wiped my IPSM data clean. Then I downloaded the Action Register from the Orange developers site and registered my phone. I was then able to unlock it.

So "I am on the road again" - just have to find where I put all my lovely skins, backdrops, sounds, movies and all those shareware unlocked apps!
