Guest matanglawin Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 heard that Globe now supports international MMS... I wonder when Smart would finally offer this service to its subscribers :?: I tried sending one to a relative in Europe and it just wont get through... :)
Guest casperr Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 Where did you read or heard this from?
Guest matanglawin Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 Where did you read or heard this from? It's in the Sunday edition (August 31, 2003) of the Philippine Star, last page of section S. It was actually my brother who mentioned it to me. :)

Guest Geeklord Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 have any of you tried sending smart MMS to globe subscribers? I haven't had any luck.

Guest Jammer6 Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 have any of you tried sending smart MMS to globe subscribers? I haven't had any luck. This might not be possible at the moment. I heard from someone working in SMART that as the current business direction, they do not want to forward /receive MMS to/from GLOBE since they feel that they have a bigger share in the market. They feel that if such feature is needed by an individual, then that individual should migrate to SMART. Sucks really... :)
Guest StanyDB Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 @matanglawin, How big was the MMS you tried to send? Anything bigger than 10kb will not be received! Also sending to Nokia or SE gives you a very very small margin of success. Try to send it as email :? Greetz Stan. :)

With regards to sending them as email to mobile phones in other countries(i.e. the Netherlands), I have tried that too, but to no avail. It only works if it is sent to a particular email address and not a mobile number. ;)

As you can see, if you try to use gprs from G, wala pang charging yan.... i dont know why..... any idea??? maybe bcoz dey simply can't do it? or not yet done? :)

Guest grifter Posted September 5, 2003 Report Posted September 5, 2003 although Globe has free GPRS surfing via their www.globe.com.ph APN, you can now only view the globe site. If you want to view other sites, you have to use the internet.globe.com.ph APN which is not free. talk about strategy. hehe...
Guest matanglawin Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 i didn't say that...the statment "basta LIBRE patok sa Pinoy" also applies to me.
