sms caller display problem

hi everyone!!!...ok i just recently got my SAP and i have an issue with the sms. I dont know if its "the" bug that everyone talks about or not, and i couldnt find it in the search...anyway

the problem is that the sms's dont display the caller only their number. But if i receive a "call" it does but sms only has their number

so is there a way to fix this? or is this the bug everyone has? could it be that i imported all the numebrs to the phone from my existing sim?

anyway its really annoying having to guess who the person is from just their number...so hopefully there is an easy fix :)

Yeah, you have to have the number filed under "Mobile" (if i remember correctly it will populate the SMS entry for you) and in the international number format, eg for a uk phone +447980999999

There is an Outlook Contact Reformater available free from www.monolithix.org ;)

cheers for the post richie...wat it actually was, was i hadnt imported all the contacts properly from the sim card. Like there were showing on the phone but they were reading off the sim not off the contacts. Once i imported them to Outlook it all looks ok...ill just have to wait for an sms :)

also im in australia so i dont think that Outlook reformatter thing would work since im +61 not +44...so if it comes down to that ill have to edit them all by hand :D (unless there is a reformatter with variable area code???)
