Guest mark_g_james Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 What better excuse to buy Orneta Reader, or Repligo, than 44 free pdf e-books! :) http://www.codecuts.com/mainpage.asp?webpageid=2330 Mark.

Guest idavid Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 very nice find! whats the difference between tagged and not tagged?
Guest morpheus2702 Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 If only it was Ulysses 31, rather than just plain Ulysses
Guest dogbomb Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 Yup. This made me register Orneta finally :)
Guest dogbomb Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 very nice find! whats the difference between tagged and not tagged? It says on the right hand side... Standard / Non tagged - if you are just planning to read the eBook on your desktop or notebook computer and have Acrobat or Adobe Reader 5.0/6.0. Tagged - if you are planning to read the eBook on a handheld (like Palm or Pocket PC) with Acrobat Reader, if you want to reflow content, or if you want to improve accessibility and use screen reading software.
Guest Maverick Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 I tried opening one of the pdf's (about 2mb) using ClearVue pdf viewer. It screwed up my phone and did a self hard reset .. Aghhh :-(
Guest idoru Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 Excellent find. Now I can read the GRimm Fairy tales to my young ones who no nothing of the wonderul technology in my hand. They will probably just call it the Story Teller phone.
Guest idoru Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 tried opening one of the pdf's (about 2mb) using ClearVue pdf viewer. It screwed up my phone and did a self Hard Reset .. Aghhh Did you try reading the PDF file in Acrobat on your PC first? The file may be corrupted.
Guest Maverick Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Did you try reading the PDF file in Acrobat on your PC first? The file may be corrupted. Nope.. Opens perfectly fine in my PC. I think the problem is because of the file size. Anything as big as 1mb or more causes problems... and most pdf files are BIG !
Guest Skilty Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 What better excuse to buy Orneta Reader, or Repligo, than 44 free pdf e-books! :) http://www.codecuts.com/mainpage.asp?webpageid=2330 Mark. I've tried Orneta Reader and the tagged ebooks but i'm not having any joy just a load of numbers and random letters, have you any idea where i might be going wrong??
Guest Maverick Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 I think only the registered version can read Pdf's.. and what are "tagged ebooks" ? I dont think Orneta Reader supports it anyway. Guys.. Is Repligo available on trial.. so that I can check it out before I buy.
Guest mark_g_james Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Guys.. Is Repligo available on trial.. so that I can check it out before I buy. yep, it's a 14 day trial and well worth it. I think Repligo is a fantastic reader - only problem is you have to convert things on your PC first. But anything you can print can be viewed on the phone :) Get it from http://www.cerience.com/
Guest dcho Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 Here at Cerience, we decided to take one of the free e-books and convert it to the RepliGo format for everyone to try. You can download Crime and Punishment in the RepliGo format from the following link: http://www.cerience.com/downloads/files/te..._Punishment.rgo To obtain the free RepliGo Viewer visit www.repligo.com We'd be interested to hear any feedback as to how RepliGo would fair as an e-book reader application and how it currently compares to others. Thanks! Dave C Cerience Corporation [email protected]
Guest dogbomb Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 These work fine for me on a registered version of Orneta Reader.
