Headset Profile, Motherboard problem

Hi guys!

I also had that problem with the headset profile. Everytime my phone goes to headset profile, I have to jiggle the port where you plugin the headset so it can go to normal mode. Its been happenning for a week and its getting worse. I kept jiggling it everyday to the extent that the port got disconnected to the motherboard. I opened it and saw that it might be a hopeless case. My phone is out of warranty.

If i have it repaired to our local depot (Brightpoint Philippines) will they be just replacing the jack or will they be replacing the whole motherboard?

If the latter would be replaced, how much would it cost?

They can fix just the headphone socket, without replacing the motherboard, I believe.

Here, Hays were going to charge me £50 to do that, but that's a rip-off.
