Guest Zeno Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 :?: It seems that Record button is dead during a call. You can do a voice recording only as a simple voice memo or when composing a sms. Why? Do SPV or Qtek support voice recording during calls? TIA
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 Try a search, but "no" you cant record voice calls.
Guest superflysi Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 something do with it being illegal to record a phone callunless both parties agree for it to be recorded :)
Guest Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 AFAIK you can record a phone-call if only one of the parties is aware it's being recorded - that's why many Nokias have this function. What you do with the recording subsequently could alter it's legality. There was a thread on here a while ago about the same thing, and did go into the legal ins and outs (it is a bit of a grey area).
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 It boils down to just another feature that was never implemented...illegal or otherwise.
Guest Zeno Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Funny, but my present Siemens ME45 can make voice or call recordings up to 3 minutes, without any hassle! Another Siemens SL45 can record up to 5 hours!!! on a Smartcard of 32 MB! It seems that it is not a matter of legality!
Guest jamesh Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I can't insert voice recording to my sms. Pls. help.
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I can't insert voice recording to my sms. Pls. help. Are you joking? You cant attach a voice recording to an SMS, you can to an email though.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I presume jamesh means MMS rather than SMS jamesh what you have to do is select NewMMS then EDITSound you will now see Record AMR select that and record your message. When this has been done it then converts the message to AMR format (this can take a while to do). Once this has been done you then get taken back to the message compose page with the recorded file listed at the top.
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I presume jamesh means MMS rather than SMS. Ahh, sorry, not thinking laterally
