Guest Gorskar Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 How do I get the phone to play sounds from the memory card ? A: By a registry hack - see here ( I assume you mean ringtones?) If you are talking about mp3s or WMAs then you just copy them to the storage card and windows media player will pick then up automatically when opened. Can the phone have random ringtones ? A: Not that I know of Were can I get games from ? A:Free games: http://www.monolothix.org Commercial games: www.handango.com or www.smartphone.net. I'd advise you have a browse through the Software catalogue to find what you are looking for. If you read the sticky about searching the software catalogue you should be able to find what you are looking for easily! How do I install the games and play them ? A) Most commercial games have a windows installer. Just connect your phone to your computer and run the installer program on your PC. :) Most free games are installed by a cab file - which you can install by copying to your IPSMwindowsstart menuaccesories folder on your phone, and then just running it by browsing to the accessories folder on your start menu. C) For SP2002 .exe files you will need to do a bit more work - place the exe in a location on your phone or storage card using windows explorer on your pc, then create a shortcut by right clicking on it and chosing create shortcut. Then you copy the shortcut to your IPSMwindowsstart menugames folder (if its a game) How can I recieve emails on the phone ? settings-> more -> owner info lets you put in an email address for the phone. Then if you go to your inbox and go menu -> options you can set up all the details there. I have heard you can play Doom and Zelda on it - how ? Visit http://www.monolithix.org to download doom. Zelda can be done by the game boy emulator on the same site. If you are an rpg fan though you can get nethack for free from http://www.nethack.org All of these games require you to have de-certed your phone first though. Can I delete files off the phone ? Yes - Settings -> more -> remove programs This can also be done via activesync on your PC Some more advice is to install smart explorer and task manager available from http://www.binarys.com/smartphone/default_en.asp - these are essential programs!

Guest simonbratt99 Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 hi just a little note, its says doom only works on a unlocked e100, is that right, and is it feasible or easy when ya just got ya phone under a year contract thanks
Guest zeta101 Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 If you are asking whether its feasible/easy to unlock (the proper word is decertify :) cos i think unlock can mean unlocking it for other networks etc) then it doesnt matter if you have a year contract. I have a year contract and I'd imagine a good majority of the people here do also, its very simple just use this --->OTA, you can do it from your PC, its perfectly legal and definatly worth it because most of the good progs are not signed by orange and so require a decerted phone.
Guest zeta101 Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 hmmm, the OTA link isnt direct, this one is better :) http://www.developers.orange.com/WorkingWi.../SPV/Unlocking/
