Guest dazer Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 hi i have t mobile settings for the spv but dont know how to put them as things are different on the spv can anybody walk me through this please the settings are The Profile Name (if required) can be set to 'T-Mobile' The Dial up number should be set to '+447953968999' The Bearer (or Access Type) should be set to 'Data' The Call type should be set to 'ISDN' The Connection speed (or Baud rate) should be set to '9600' The Connection Type should be set to 'Continuous' The IP address (or Server) should be set to '149.254.1.10' The Port should be set to '9201' The Homepage should be set to http://wap.t-mobile.co.uk The Linger Time (or Idle Time Out) should be set to '150 seconds'. The Login name should be set to 'user' The Password should be set to 'wap' The Security should be set to 'Off' Some handsets may not have all the settings listed above, and some may have additional settings. If there are any additional settings they should be left at the default (factory) setting.
Guest cpt_andy Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 go to settings, data connections, menu, edit connections, dial-up, menu, add and enter the following details: Description: T-Mobile WAP Connects to: The Internet Country Code: 44 Dialling Code: 7953 Phone Number: 968999 User Name: user Password: wap Domain: [leave blank] Press done 3 times. Select 'T-mobile WAP' for 'Internet Connection' and 'WAP Connection', and finally press done. These settings work fine for me and allow you to surf the net. Be aware that this connects you using dial-up (CSD), which is charged per-minute, and you need to hang-up manually using the red end call button when you have finished using it. If you want to access true wml wap (which you probably won't) you may need to set up a wap proxy using the details in your post (specifically 149.254.1.10:9201). I don't use this so don't know if this works. I know that T-mobile don't do GPRS on PAYG, although i'm not sure what the situation is when on contract. If they do have GPRS, and you are on contract, it would certainly be worth looking into, as it can work out much cheaper and is faster. Cpt. Andy
