Guest chucky.egg Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 Anyone else having problems getting Handango to accept their credit card? I've tried to order from them, using a card they've accepted in the past, but now it says "Declined - insufficient funds". I've checked with my card issuer (HSBC in the UK) and they say the card is fine, but that Handango are sending the expiry date in the wrong format. I've emailed Handango, and they had a half-hearted attempt to investigate, but came back and said "try ordering by email instead". That would be fine but it takes them a week to respond to emails. If other people are having problems I may be able to put some pressure on them to actually fix it!
Guest James Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 never heard of that one mate, i have used several cards and they are all fine for me....
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 Oh, ok. Send me your card numbers and I'll try again! :)
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Am I *REALLY* the only one having this problem? Does anybody else use HSBC credit cards on Handango? I keep trying the site in the hope that it'll work, but no... still nothing. The problem is there are a lot of things that are ONLY available on Hand-job-dango Is anybody willing to order me something on their card if I pay in advance with Paypal/Nocheck/whatever?
Guest James Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 if your willing to pay the money transfer fee mate....... 3-4% is it?

Guest chucky.egg Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 First Direct are part of HSBC, no problems for me :? Oh great, that might mean I've been told a load of pony by the bank - now I'm stuck in between a bank (famous for not caring) and an American website selling stuff at $10 a throw (one lost sale means nothing to them). jlowap: Yeah, I'd cover the costs - I wouldn't expect somebody to go out of pocket as a favour! I want to try Echo/Yoyo Voice Recorder and if it's any good I'll buy it. Can I PM you to order it if I pay you up front? I'd really appreciate it!
Guest James Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 just pm me mate... i will need all your details (you might need a reg code bassed on your name or e-mail as you have them in your 'owners infromation, on the phone
Guest James Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 "Echo/Yoyo Voice Recorder" what is it and where is it?
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 just pm me mate... Thanks for that! I will PM you if/when I can get the trial. Last time I checked (about an hour ago) Handango said it wasn't available and the trial download from the Pocco site went nowhere. There's a thread about it, with an article on the MoDaCo Portal page
