Guest JampoTT Posted September 4, 2003 Report Posted September 4, 2003 I can't believe this..... yesterday at 9pm I was on the phone to Orange because my phone wouldn't boot past the Sunset screen.... Replaced this evening around 7pm. Was having some issues syncing the new phone, and it hung on me. Now it insists on going into the bootloader screen each time, but pressing the Action key doesn't bring up the menu - hence its stuck on the 3 colours screen EVERY time I try and reboot it. Result? Orange sending yet another replacement out.... After several months uninterupted (and great) usage of the phone, I'm having serious doubts about it now... 2 knackered ones in 24 hours is no joke whatsoever!!!
Guest mar9118 Posted September 5, 2003 Report Posted September 5, 2003 too bad it's one of those days :)
Guest MECX Posted September 5, 2003 Report Posted September 5, 2003 gutted man sounds like you were just unlucky orange sorted it out quick tho :)
Guest Will Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 AFAIK. When orange replace a phone that you have had for a while you recieve a 'refurbished' fixed phone. This has been covered elsewhere, but essentially your phone is repaired (the FAULT that caused the replacement is rectified). but if the phone has multiple faults, the other faults MAY be overlooked. If you have a couple of faulty replacements, request a 'NEW' not refurbished phone. I had 3 faulty phones in as many days, finally rectified by requesting the above. Which is still working... Will
