Update.... *sigh*

Well.. I've spend all day reading about updates for our beloved SPV..

That's a shitload of reading ! :shock: There have been new I-mate, Qtek, Eurotel, smart and god now's what other rom updates emerging recently and I'm really lost up tha creek without a canoe.. :roll:

I've got the DUTCH 1.50.27 orange update on now and this is what I want (excuse me, would like) :

-English OS

-More stable platform, faster menu's (duuhh... 8) )

-NO return of the certification !

-NO return of the simlock !

-SMS counter

-Enhanced batterylife (if this aint a fable to begin with)

-Preferably no s*** while updating (sorry, dunno my boatloader version just now..)

Soooo... Just wait for 1.6 UK from Orange ?

Nope, my phone is in Dutch all the way.. don't like that.

-More stable platform, faster menu's (duuhh... ) Best thing to do is join Plus (saying I recomended you ) to get spacemonkeys excellent new app.

I was already planning on buying that when it comes out of beta :)

I read about a lott of people being unable to upgrade from certain rom versions (like 1.50.27) because of a wrong bootloader version..

I think I might just play it safe for now and wait for 1.6 UK..

Go to ProgramsSettingsRegional Settings then change Language to English :)

This is normally down to people not quite following the instructions or being unlucky. most problems are due to downgrading not upgrading.

I think I might just play it safe for now and wait for 1.6 UK..

Nope, had thought of that, no change, all the menu's and stuff still in Dutch.. And there are some things that are just not supposed to be in Dutch, like Disney movies, music and operating systems :)

Went ahead and flashed it with the Qtek update, no probs and everything works just peachy :D Thanks non the less !

When (adverb, noun, pronoun, conjunction) at which time, on what occasion, at which moment someone will give us a straight answer about the update as no-one, even those supposedly 'in-the-know' have a f***ing clue.

Update (transitive verb, noun) bollocks spouted by Orange and mods, descriptive of being unable to admit they don't know.
