Is there a compatible yahoo messenger for the SPV E100

Is there any chance there is a yahoo messenger for the SPV, i heard that Agile are bringin one out, but i wanna know will there be, or is there a free one to download?? any help ?? thx in advance.. :wink:

There's a commercial one at the moment: iMov - that support ICQ / MSN / AIM and Yahoo

Then there's a java one called QSM that also supports all of them, it's free, but tricky to get it to work! Not sure if it does work, I only got it working with MSN. But it's worth a shot!

You might wanna search for other java Yahoo messengers as well... I got a java icq midlet to work... so you might get lucky.

An alternative is a service such as izymail, which puts all you your web-based email (yahoo, hotmail etc) aswell as aol email into a standard pop box, which can be accessed using the phone's built-in email client. You get free sign-up with Modaco plus aswell :)

Looking at the forums for previous topics on iMov it' appears there is some confusion if it actually works on the UK Orange network? Could someone clear that up for me please, I'm moving soon and will most likely be without a PC so my E100 may be my only way of talking to people on the various IM networks.

Another issue was ICQ contacts appearing as their ID number, I know it's possable to rename them if you install the PC Jabber client, is an update being worked on for this?

iMov works just fine .. there are several jabber servers you can connect to, not all of them supports all instant messengers, so just google for "jabber servers"

jabber.dk (works flawlessly...)

Don't know if they are working on the "can't edit contacts" - you might wanna e-mail them and ask, god knows I've e-mailed and asked tonnes of times without a reply :roll:

ive done wot u suggested, but the h'set will not establish a conection, as it keeps saying. any suggestions on how 2 get a conection. thx
