Any other sites anyone? pleeeease?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 www.monolithix.org :) the best site for freeware.
Guest malefrag Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 thanx a lot! one more question....... i downloaded the keyboard uk. what do i have to do so that when i have my phone application unlock not to lose it?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Once you install the keyboard update just unlock the phone again via the Orange Developers site. Click on OTA for more information on applicatio unlocking (decerting).
Guest malefrag Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 sorry.........some more details on that? where do i go on the developers site???
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 As I said click on >> OTA this will give you instructions on how to decert your phone and the first post gives you the link to the Orange Developers site. http://www.developers.orange.com/ Here's the link for direct unlocking http://www.developers.orange.com/WorkingWi.../SPV/Unlocking/
Guest malefrag Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 do i have to decertify it on OTA? and if yes how? i already unlocked it again from there. Sorry for being a pain...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 no pain I'm just busy hense the quick replies  normally when you run the Keyboard update you have decertify again, but as you say you have done this already then there is nothing else to do apart from enjoying all those free apps and games etc that have been made :) You will not lose the application lock again unless you hard reset or run another UK update, if that happens just decert on the developers site again. Does this help or am I making a mistake in what you mean?
Guest malefrag Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 it helps a bit...........i have SIM unlocked it. i cannot find the way to app unlock it. do i have to app unlock it in order not to lose the keyboard uk? if yes, could you give me the link for Application Unlock?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 once the Keyboard drivers are installed then the only way to lose it would be to Hard Reset. Application unlocking will not affect it in any way. The link I gave above is the method to application unlock (or what we call here "decert".) As you said you have done that then as long as you have received the message that tells you the phone is unlocked, then it will be application unlocked. That's all you have to do. I'm off out for a few hours back soon :)
