Problems with Mediaplayer

First can I say what a great forum this is.

I got an SPV E100 yesterday and already seem to have broken windows mediaplayer. when selecting from the menu it starts and then closes straight away. any help getting this working again much apreciated.

I have been installing games and some other software including smart explorer and pocket tv, perhaps one of those has broken a setting somewhere.

Have u installed and uninstalled any skins that change the media player skin ?

I had installed an XP type theme from coolsmartphone.com but but did not like it that much, so took it off again. I tried the skin approach and downloaded a mplayer skin from this forum and installed it, but its still the same.

I also went to try a hard reset with the orange SD card in the phone, but dont get the boot diag option even though the card is as new.

You pointed me in the right direction, and after finding some tips on the internet and downloading a registry editor I found the skin location had changed. So I copied another skin to the location in the registry and presto its working again.

A skin called Longhorn (By Gradiation) can sometimes cause this problem, was it that one that u installed ?
