Keypad not working..HELP

My keys dont work, only the power and memo keys work.tried a hard reset this is what happens.....presspower & memo keys..CARD FOUND....press any key.....but keys dont work it jumps to the 3 canary colours ...and thats it!!! so can any one help, orange cant or wont. Please help me thanks.

hello mate, when it says press any key to enter bootloader you need to press and hold the action key to get to the screen that has the numbers on the left, you can then press the 8 key to complete the hard reset.

Eh! just got the screen to erase,pressed no 8, and waiting and waiting do you keep 8 pressed or just the once?

Just press Erase IPSM once and wait, then it should display PASSED

but on some earlier phones it has been known not to display this :?

After leaving it for a few minutes or it displays PASSED then press and hold the power button to reboot the phone. Or if you have an early Bootloader choose the option END.

This has happened to a few phones (including mine :)). It would seem to be a hardware problem (although I could be wrong) as it also seems to be affected in bootloader mode. Try tapping either voice memo or power before making the selection, as this seems to 'activate' the keypad sometimes.

May work. I had done this to mine though with no effect :)

Normally when keys start playing up it replacement time :)
