Guest squall Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 firstly calm down, and hit the caps lock key. not heard this problem before, but simplest solution will be a hard reset, it means loosing contacts data and messages, but is a way of solving most problems without having to look to deeply.
Guest marzzz Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 i just did the hard reset... now its back and running.. will be a while before it's back to the old personalized phone again though.. but hey at least i can make some PHONE calls (with CAPSLOCK!) I THINK I KNOW WHY ID GOT MESSED UP LIKE THAT: THINK I MIGHT HAVE PUT THE .EXE FILE IN THE STARTUP FOLDER.. .. could this be the reason it popped up befor yhe phone got a chance to ask for my pincode ? marzzz
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Yes and as Ian said there is no need to shout so please don't The file should have either been place in IPSMWindowsStart MenuGames or place on the storage card (recommended) and a shortcut placed in the location I mentioned above. Also you did not need to do a hard reset. with Activsync find the file and change the extension to something it would not use (I have tested changing the extension to .jpg) You can then after restarting the phone again safely remove the file in question.
