Guest m660xyg Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 help...every now and then a ring tone or mp3 and sometimes a program will dissapear/fail to load off my SD card.....however if i turn the phone on / off again it will find it again...is this likely to be a dodgy SD card, its a Kodak 256mb or is it likely to be something more serious... Thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 It's known fault that appears to be caused by a poor connection. The reason you may notice it more is because you are using the card for ringtones. The normal fix is to just remove the card and plug it back in again.
Guest 4N1L Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I hope its not a problem specific to Kodak SD cards - i've just ordered a 256MB from ebuyer  On a related note, when i searched the forum for SD cards i read many of you were able to buy 256MB cards for under 50 quid...the cheapest i found was the Kodak @ £56.85. Surely prices havent increased?
Guest m660xyg Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Oh right, so it would happen with any SD card? Also it seems to happen more on a low battery....things go missing.. Huw
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 It's not a good idea to let the battery run low as you can get problems with the phone as well. Also your problem happens with all cards but it is not a common occurance.
Guest vijay555 Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 search for sandisk. or "256 sd". i just bought my second (for another spv) at £48. First cost £49 4 months ago. no increase... V
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 One thing about Sandisk though, 99% of all SD card complaints (actual failures) are Sandisk, but saying that there was a bad batch of cards released.
