Guest drblow Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I tried to make my clock plugin display big - like size=40 (or something), but couldn't make it any bigger than 15. How's that then?? The plugin height is 29?? :x ASnybody help a dunce in distress? :)
Guest benjymous Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 You need to change the font size as well as the plugin height <plugin clsid="{44FA0F8C-082F-42b4-BE49-82559F23D5D4}" name="clock" height="29"> <time font-size="29" font-weight="bold"/> </plugin>
Guest drblow Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 eh, that is what i did m8! it dont work! Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest pisquee Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 why can't I make clock go big? I get loads of emails about pills, treatments, equipment, and excercizes to get your clock to be bigger - do you want me to forward them to you?! ;-)
Guest drblow Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 quality!! yeah m8, send me all that stuff - i'm always worried about the size of my clock!! Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest pisquee Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 Dr Blow? hmmm, I'm sure one of those emails I got was from someone with that name!
Guest drblow Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 No, but seriously... I really need a bigger clock! :) It's going to be impossible now to continue this thread in anything other than a really childish fashion!! ;) Woohoo!
Guest pisquee Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 sorry for lowering the tone! :-)
Guest drblow Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 I have tried everything - pills. ointments, special tantric rubbing techniques - but I still can't make my CLOCK any bigger!! :) ;) Can't somebody help - I'm afraid my wife will leave me for someone with a bigger CLOCK!!! :D  ;) :D :) :D (no, seriously!)
Guest Matt Kirby Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 Moving the thread back on-topic - Are you trying to do something like this? This homescreen has a clock with a height of 40, no MRU list, and the usual "hiden until used" plug-ins.Big Clock.home.zipBig Clock.JPG
Guest drblow Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 My last post was on topic!! :) ;) :D In fact, all my posts were on topic - it was them being smutty!!!! ;) :D Anyhoo - cheers mattkirby, but that doesnt really help me. The xml you posted just has the plugin height set to 40 & the font size set to 40. That's pretty much what I've done, but the clock still stays at 15 max. :x
Guest Matt Kirby Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 Does my xml work on your handset? Or does the clock in my homescreen appear smaller than it does in the screen-shot? It's weird that it's not working for you, once you have set the plug-in height and font size it should work. Anyone else got any ideas???????????
Guest Will Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 i think the default font size in the xml is being used, are you sure your font size tags are in the correct syntax? Will
Guest drblow Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 i think the default font size in the xml is being used, are you sure your font size tags are in the correct syntax? Will Mmm... interesting about the default font size. All my other plugins have got font sizes in them, so can I just do away with the default?? Also, whadda you mean 'syntax'??
Guest Will Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 i'm guessing you can remove the default flag, Syntax i mean you got font-size not fontsize or some other missspell a lot of people have a default set up and forget it kicks in if they have a selectable or active plugin, and wonder why everything changes sizes. if you post your xml on here, i can check it over. Will
Guest drblow Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 Ok - got the syntax thing - and lo & behold, I had left out a font from font-size!! I love xml - the answer to my questions is usually embarassingly obvious! Cheers Will - what you could help me with tho is the thread below!! Still haven't found out what daft error I'm making with that one! http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=90675
