MP3 --> Ringtone?

I´m a new owner of a spv and have one question!

Is it possible to use a mp3 as rintone?

Nope, need to be converted to .wav's and put in IPSMApplications DataSounds

Take a look at cooledit for converting.

How to use a picture from the cam or from my pc as background at the starting page?

Resize the picture to 176x200 ( or 176x220) - and place it in this folder: IPSM // Application Data // Home

You'll now be able to select the photo here: Programs // Settings // Homescreen

There's a program called SPV Fun File Manager, that (among other things) automatically searches on your PC for pictures, and has the option to resize them. It doesn't crop, so the pics can look a bit weird... but it should give you an idea how it works.

hi there,

i'm gonna tell u about some tip I learned but never tried actually

some say that putting the MP3 file in the root directory of the SD Card (in no folder) works

i found a couple of apps that might help (not tried them though) u might try them and tell me if they worked or not

the main reason i didn't try them is that i don't have an SD Card yet :) ;) :oops:

it depends what spv u got? i use mp3 ringtones on my c550
