Guest madmonk Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 Hi folks, I'm trying to unlocl an orange spv canary ver 0.98, I've got the code using spvunlock but cannot enter it, it give me a "password is invalid please retry after 960 seconds" and does not a lot else. has anyone got round this? Thanx :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 Double check you have hte coorect code (re-run simunlock). Also ensure you have entered the SIM PIN1 code if it is activated.
Guest madmonk Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 :) Unfortunately it has not let me enter the code to start with, at no point have I had the ability to type anything in.......
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 Hmm ok, never heard that one before. Does it still work with your original SIM card?
Guest madmonk Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 I don't actually have an orange sim as i got it 2nd hand but - it's very new, and i have tried an orange sim, with which it still works, although gprs wasn't working - that was probably because the card i was using was ancient. :?: ______________________ Live By Example, Follow By Choice
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 Yeah it will be. All i can think is that you have the code wrong. Try a hard reset too just in case.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 Also when you power the phone on, leave the keypad alone. It can take a short while before the phone asks you for the unlock code and if you press any buttons before it can remember.
Guest madmonk Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 Thanks for the replies, I don't have the simpin1 active and I've noticed that the gprs radio goes off just after I turn it on, I continue to wait and the "password is invalid. please retry after 960 seconds" appears again. Well perplexed
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 Well you now have to leave it for 960 seconds :) as it will not let you enter the code until you do.
Guest madmonk Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 yeah I got it, .....just left it alone for a long time and it all worked fine. Thanks for your advice folks  --------------------------------- If you carry on playing with it, ....it won't work.....
