Rom Decertification Tool (new)

As seen on www.mobilejoe.de

There is a tool which claims to decertify the rom update, before you flash it to the phone.

translated thread from mobilejoe.de:

Also the author has a webpage with the tool on it: http://smartphonerom.tripod.com

I have dumped the 'patched rom' and it changes the provisioning file, BUT it does not correct the crc check.

Tested as follows: I ran this on my e100 with a patched UK update (1.3.6) and it boots fine, but gets stuck on the sunset screen. (which is an issue when ever doing this update for me), but the bootloader was still useable. and so.. if you feel daring, give it a go.. but don't blame me if it goes wrong.

When running it on the e100 (1.5.xx) rom, it comes up with a windows error.. so no joy on that.

Any news, good or bad, post it below.

Good and bad news :?

Ran this on the Orange UK 1.3.5.6 update, and it said "Patch Succesfull" :D

Update continued A OK ;)

Phone rebooted, everything fine :)

Ran installer for a un-certed app :? "Invalid Permissions"

So basically, this does something but the phone is still certified
