Guest m1dawkins Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 I have tried installing/running pocketmusic a number of times on my unlocked SPV and each time it says 'pocketmusic is not a vaild Windows CE application' although I have downloaded the SPV version from Handango. Does anyone know why I am getting this error message?
Guest Brody Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Have you tried a soft reset (reboot)?
Guest gladel Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Yea, and it always stutters while playing mp3s!!

Have you unlocked the phone for applications (if not click OTA), coz I think pocket music requires a decertified phone??
Guest benwatt Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 You need to run the file on your PC first, and it will install it on your SPV. The file you download is not to be run directly on the SPV :)
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 Yea, and it always stutters while playing mp3s!! Same here - it'll play the first couple of seconds OK, then the (very bad) stuttering starts. Irritating, as it's a brill piece of software otherwise.
Guest BrAGoL Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 i think it eats a lot of memory...
Guest Xander Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 If your EQ and XB settings are ON, the player will stutter badly (esp for high bit-rate audio). When set to off (not highlighted), the player doesn't suffer from this phenomenon. Or try converting hte audio to a lower bitrate.
Guest lspatricio Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 ;) at first, i got the same problem. but, when you adjust the equalizer right, you'll get a pretty good sound, without the stuttering.

That's not what I found - Even without the EQ and XB on I got so much stuttering that it wasn't "listenable" I've removed it for the time being, but I liked the features. Who was developing this and are they interested in a straw poll to see who had problems (we could supply OS, memory, apps info that might be very useful to iron out the problems)?
