Anyone here tried ListPro?

Know more about ListPro here: http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/lp/listpro.htm

Marami kayong maddownload na free lists/templates/references for ListPro viewer here sa List Exchange Index nila, (pwede nyo pang i-customize according sa taste nyo): http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/lp/lp_lists.htm

Screenshots here: http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/lp/lp_ssm.htm#phon

Maganda tong program na to. (View attached animation for some of its practical use). Dati yun! :wink:

Now, pwede mo ring i-load yung mga .clf files mo sa SD and at the same time maSPAMsa pa rin ng ListPro viewer. Advantage nito? Kahit lahat ng .clf files i-load mo, konti lang magagamit na IPSM space. (I have 6.69MB of downloaded clf files, piling pili na yun, definitely di ko ilalagay sa IPSM ko yun, dapat sa storage card)

Yun ang reason kung bakit umpisahan ko tong thread: to share how I managed to have ListPro read .clf files stored in SD.

Meron na bang nakagawa nito sa inyo guys? Kung wala pa, post ko yung instructions. :wink: Kung meron na nakagawa nito, pa-share naman ng procedures nyo. Lets free some IPSM space and enjoy ListPro at the same time. :)

libre na to?

Hindi po libre yung ListPro viewer. Yung mga lists (.clf) libre.

Ang alam ko pwede ka mag submit ng list/s sa kanila then pag nagustuhan nila yun, bigyan ka ng FREE ListPro software.

Sabi nila "...you can send us your list files too! If we include them on this page, we will send you a free copy of ListPro for any one platform."

Nice deal di ba? Just visit their site na lang for more info/mechanics:

What the company says is true. I got a full version of Listpro when i submitted two lists. ( Crossword Aid and World History). They are even very supportive. It's a great app!

@Geren and dinoalbert

Thanks for the comment. :)

@binky_p

Meron silang criteria din. Dapat siguro original concept, maybe a TV guide ng Channel 2 sa 'Pinas from Monday to Sunday or gaya nung ginawa ko, Addict Mobile Bills to track my phone expenses. Andami pwedeng i-submit dun, let your imagination run wild! :wink:

HOW TO MAKE LISTPRO READ LIST (.clf file extension) STORED IN STORAGE CARD (SD/MMC).

Introduction:

ListPro is a very nice application. Its the premier personal information tool designed for portability. It reads lists stored in My Documents folder of IPSM. This guide will show you how to make ListPro read .clf files stored in SD/MMC. :wink:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Advantages:

1. ListPro will read lists stored in SD instead of those stored in IPSM.

2. The .lnk's generated and copied to IPSM is smaller than the .clf file itself, hence, saves IPSM space. :)

3. Access your lists from a folder, load/view only those you want.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What you need:

1. ListPro for Smartphone- to view the .clf files in your phone.

2. Resco Explorer 2003- this will allow .clf files to be associated with ListPro.

Get the trial version here: http://www.resco-net.com/smartphone/smartexplorer.asp

3. ListPro for PC - allows you to edit .clf files in PC, save backup of such files then transfer to phone.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Procedures:

(Assuming you have ListPro and Resco 2003 Explorer in your phone)

1. Download desired lists (.clf files) from Iliumsoft website:

http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/lp/lp_lists.htm

2. Create a folder in SD and put all downloaded files there (Storage CardProgram FilesListPro)

3. Open Resco Explorer then go to ListPro folder.

ss000.jpg

4. Highlight a .clf file (Press 2, the file should have a blue highlight) then press Menu->File->Associate With.

ss001.jpg

5. A window will pop up...In the rectangular box, enter the path where the file 'ListPro.exe' is located. Check the box for 'Always use this program to open this file type'. This specific step enables ListPro to read/be associated with all .clf files in your phone.

ss002.jpg

6. You're done with file type association but all your clf files are in your SD, how will you access them?.....create a shortcut for each .clf file located in your SD then copy the generated shortcut/links (.lnk) in your Start Menu folder for easy access. (You may create a new folder in Start Menu then dump all your links there so it wont be garbled). The .lnk generated will take up IPSM space also BUT smaller (in bytes) than the main .clf file itself (range from kilobytes to megabytes) SAVES SPACE HUH? :wink:

Test run the link you have just created (in this case, Periodic Table of Elements)

Thats it! You'll know that ListPro reads the .clf files in your SD when you hit 'Show Files', a blank screen appears. FYI: The 'Show Files' function of ListPro shows the lists loaded/stored in My Documents folder of IPSM. In this case, it wont show you lists anymore or wont even load with default lists 'coz there are no more .clf's in IPSM. ;) :D :lol:

Feel free to post your 'own' procedures in doing this trick.

@pzee

Thanks for the tip on using shortcuts to access .clf files on the storage card. I sent an email to iliumsoft regarding said files that can't be accessed when they are in the storage cards. They told me that they it has been resolved on the next upgrade which will be coming out probably this October.

@mariolouis

Listpro is basically an app that is very similar to a database. You could make a todo list (with alarm), expense list , list of all your dvd, cd collection with matching categories etc. You could also download for free a lot of templates and reference lists. (I, particularly downloaded the conversion lists for english/metric conversions) Visit their site and make your Smartphone truly smart!!! You'd be surprised because this app is deep.

For those who have Listpro and followed pzee's shortcut tip (like i did), you could minimize your shortcuts by creating one or two files - e.g. References.clf instead of having several shortcuts for each list you have. Just create folders or new lists inside this file (e.g. References.clf).Then copy and paste all the lists that you want to include in this file.
