Guest sebset Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 "The MPx200 will ship with a docking cradle for data synchronisation with a PC, and will be available from October in Europe on Orange’s network. It will cost Ј239.99 with a contract." http://reviews.zdnet.co.uk/hardware/mobile...39116278,00.htm

Guest [email protected] Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 Could this be a mock-up that someone at ZDNet was fooled by?

Guest Crispy Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 I think someone got knuckles rapped! 20 bucks he's right ... Anyone saved the article?
Guest morpheus2702 Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 According to CoolSmartPhone.com yesterday: - no integrated camera - no Bluetooth - running SmartPhone 2002, not 2003 If that's the case, it's a damn shame.
Guest moto_man Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 It's true for the most part. No bluetooth. No camera though a SD camera adapter will be avalible shortly after release. It is smartphone 2002 not 2003. As fas as the midi2 i have not tried that yet. It plays the nes emulator rather well. I have no idea what prices will be. I know what Tmoblie will have it as well att wireless. Orange is also a go i think but dont quote me on that one. The black is kind of ugly but the silver is better. Its a very solid feeling phone. Its got some weight to it which is nice. Has done quite well in all the ALT tests. (drop tests) I would expect to hear something of this phone next week or the week after. In fact for those of you who do not know this, you can go to the FCC's website to see all phones which have been given permission to be sold in the US. Along with a picture. It should be mixed in the the EMC and SAR stuff. This is a federal thing, so if its sold in the US then it on their site before its on the market.
Guest goinnuts Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 if anyone wants actual dimensions and weights i have them.
Guest someone Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 For dimensions: click here here you can see the Motorola MPx200 (or Motorola v700, whatever you want) compared to other clamm-shell phones (like Sharp, Samsung etc.). As you can see, the Motorale isn't as big as the Mitac. Grtzmot_mpx200_027.jpg
Guest morpheus2702 Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 With the keypad being so spaced out, I wonder why they didn't make the keys a bit bigger?
Guest Greywolf_Ghost Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 I found a review that says Orange in the UK will offer it up first then AT&T will intro it in the States after. It will have Mobile 2003 ( not 2002 ). http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=11539
