Guest mlkanapi Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 Nice of you to offer but is there a price ? :?
Guest dinoalbert Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 hmmm it should be free
Guest mlkanapi Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 We enthusiasts can offer our help but I read somewhere that it is done for a price in GH.
Guest grifter Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 and in Shangri-La Edsa Plaza too. I think they offer it for Php1000
Guest mlkanapi Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 For those of us who have done simple unlocking of 1.37's as well as those who have experienced downgrading from 1.5, it is indeed an experience that most owners of SAPs would be hesitant to undertake. This is why there are people who would not mind paying for someone to unlock their phones. For those out there who are adventurous enough, the path to these different procedures to unlock and even physically open the SAP is readily available here and in other websites. Thanks to all of you who have been kind and patient enough to share this knowlege with us!
Guest spv_dman Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 @mlkanapi Amen to that!
Guest baculao Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 If you have a mmc or sd and you just want the bootloader .98 or .93, I will copy it in your mmc or sd for free. But if you don't have one I guess I have to charge you a little because it is a tedious task-- I have to backup my mmc and restore it after the transfer of the bootloader. You can do the upgrade yourself after if you want to.it's not that complicated. But if you want me to upgrade it, I think I have to charge a little bit more because it takes time to upgrade(some apps included). A little compensation for effort and time spent is fair enough..Isn't it? I'm open for comments.

It has a whole set of options including copy bootloader to MMC/SD. This will save us the trouble of using USB Term to copy bootloader to storage card using .95 and higher bootloaders. Is there a problem in using such bootloader (.93) on higher version ROMS? @baculao You happen to have that .93 bootloader? Problem is I don't have an extra MMC/SD. If I happen to have that on my phone I can also be a good samaritan to all and copy them that bootloader when they need it. :)
Guest BrAGoL Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 @baculao i also want to help others to downgrade their bootloaders... but also has no extra card... mind to ask, how big are the bootloaders .93 and/or .98?
Guest schadow1 Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 For those of you who are interested to openline that are near the ortigas area as well as Las Pinas, I'm unlocking for a fee as well as upgrading to a better ROM than that of Smart. Just email me at [email protected] for details. You should be willing to leave your phone to me overnight. Kung marami nang nakapila baka umabot ng 2 days.
Guest chibako Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 @baculao i also want to help others to downgrade their bootloaders... but also has no extra card... mind to ask, how big are the bootloaders .93 and/or .98? pre, you can get the bootloader 0.91, 0.93 and 0.98 here:(zipped) http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...winhex&start=60 it was posted by dinoalbert and pzee. you'll need a linsenced winhex and mmc/sd card reader though... maliliit lang naman yung mga files e.
Guest BrAGoL Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 @chibako thanks pards... but i already have that files... ang problema ko pa rin kasi ay yung card reader/writer...

I will be in Makati tomorrow... Thanks
Guest chibako Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 @chibako thanks pards... but i already have that files... ang problema ko pa rin kasi ay yung card reader/writer... I had the same problem, solution=> bumili ako ng Twinmos Gogo egg. yung sd/mmc card reader. nabili ko ng 850. dati around 1500 yun pero may kasama na 32mb SD card (that's a good deal kasi nakamura ka sa SD card :) ) pero ngayon wala ng SD card kasi according to the saleslady, "tapos na daw yung promo" pero you can see from the packing na dapat may kasamang SD card talaga yun. Anyway, this was the cheapest SD/MMC card reader na nakita ko. ok na rin! ;) this was also posted by Bonchik at: http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...er=asc&start=60 :D
Guest BrAGoL Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 @chibako thanks for the info... hanap na lang din muna siguro ko ng extra sd or mmc card...
Guest baculao Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 @baculao You happen to have that .93 bootloader? Problem is I don't have an extra MMC/SD. If I happen to have that on my phone I can also be a good samaritan to all and copy them that bootloader when they need it. :) yep, i have the .93 bootloader... ;)
Guest baculao Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 for those who are going to copy the bootloaders .98 or .93 to their mmc or sd cards through the card reader, i think your mmc or sd card should be bigger than 8mb. I tried downloading either of the aforesaid bootloaders into Doc MlKanapi's 8mb sd card but failed. The dump files are just too big for the said card.
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 @baculao yung bootloader (.whx) files nasa 6MB size pag nasa PC. Sir how come di magkasya sa 8MB card? :?: You think nag expand cya to more than 8Mb while encoding?
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003  posible.
Guest grifter Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 weird a! dapat nga mas matipid ang fat32 since it has smaller allocation size. hmmm....
