how to format a SD card?

How can I format a SD card within with SPV or via my cradle ?

It's not something you can just kick off - the pocketpc is the same.

The quickest way I can think of getting your phone to format it is by following the instructions in one of the "downgrade your rom" threads and ONLY BACKUP your bootloader....nothing elses.

This puts the SD card into a format that the phone can't read so that when you insert it, it will ask you if you want to format it :)

Or you could just delete the files off it - I don't think it's *that* important ;)

You can buy pretty cheap USB SD card readers from places like Jessops, Dixons etc. If you use the card reader you can then format your SD card in the same way you'd format a Floppy Disk (Right click > Format)

to format the SD in the SPV use the program SP Task Mgr EN

just do:- file/Format D/MMC Card
