Guest snowycelica Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 do i need to restart the phone from occasionally to keep the phone run fast? since it is a MS os..... seems the phone get slower for a long use...
Guest Will Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 power cycling the phone is a good idea as it keeps things clean in the /windows directory. If you mean hard resetting, then this is like a fresh windows install on you pc, it speeds up amazingly until you load it down with all your applications. Will
Guest nickcornaglia Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 I restart my phone everyday to keep things running smooth. I also think it's a good idea to hard reset every once in awhile to clean up the bits that are left over from adding and deleting applications. Everything Fresh!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 Don't often reboot I rely on Task Manager :)
Guest ashley.flynn Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 im the same as awarner only reboot when the phone crashes
Guest skanna Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 i used to reboot everyday, until the phone reset itself- back to the camper homescreen, locked and with an empty 'remove programs' page. Now I reset it very rarely, although it does seem to speed up the phone and free up memory. Be warned!
Guest dinoalbert Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 Is using the Xbar to close all non sys apps the same as doing so using Task Manager? Since I started using Xbar, I stopped using Task manager to close apps running in the background....although task Manager is still installed in my phone for purposes other than closing apps.
