accessing modaco ISP problem

Hey this isnt a big deal but was just wonfering why it happens.

Im just on NTL braodband again and when i try and visit internet sites (mostly this one) i get the 'this page is not available' screen.

But if i proxy to another NTL server (cache8-nott.server.ntli.net:8080, cache7-nott.server.ntli.net:8080 if your interested) the web pages seem to be aviable again.

i thought this was a DNS error but i dont know much about it and my DNS IP's stay the same---anyone shed any light?

I'm having no problems connecting to modaco on NTL cable here. I'm running my own proxy server, but still do not suffer from any 404's.

Modaco does occasionally slow down (at about 10-11am each morning incidentally), are you sure this isn't your problem?

no because if i change proxies i can access the site ok although my connection is a little slower and when i change back its dead again. :?
