Orange Back up Bother

Anyone else having problems with Orange back up.

Number of things are going wrong.

1) Can't back up my using my current OB account. Phone initialises the set and the orange strip swishes up and down, but nothing else happens.

2) Tried to create a new account but the server didn't respond.

3) Tried to restore a previous back up (which i know was successful) and the phone reckons there are no backups to restore from.

Hmm. From this i can only assume that the any of the following is happening :

1) the orange back up software is buggered

2) i can no longer see the oranger server through our fire wall, tho a OTA back up request also failed.

I'm just hoping that i don't end up losing my contacts cos at this rate i will ot be able to restore em.

any suggestion gratefully recieved.

Also attempted to create a new account OTA but it still could not contact the server. Signal is good. backup's not

backup everything on your PC :)

you sure the server wasnt just down that day??

Have you run any updates on the phone?

I lost my original account on orange backup. seems to use the imei for added security, but don't hold me on that.

If you need the info desperately, PM me and i will provide the contact who helped me to discover my account had gone!! - he might just find your account!!
