I think so.... Get caught with niners and scales and yer obviously still gonna get nicked. But normal consumption type quantities you'll be okay with ! Hurragh !!!!!

I wouldn't try setting light to a big cheech and chong effort sat on the steps of the old bill station just yet though :)

Presumably they will be in place before the law changes.

I think even now with it being a category 'B' drug, the police turn a blind eye to quantities less than an oz.

Glastonbury 2002 was a real eye opener for me with regards to the police response to people openly smoking around the site. My mate has a cracking picture of himself with a doobie on the go stood next to a copper on horseback both smiling for the camera ! :)

Oh my jolly good god :) The Brits are finally wising up to what we have already known FOREVER.. you cant make cannabis that illegal like every other drug... It's like comparing a beer to a glass of tequila... and cannabis is even less harmfull then beer it clearly stated..

It's from the earth itself, not further messing around needed.. Just put them in a pot and they'll grow, all you need to do is cut them like you cut flowers... It's from mother nature herself ;) Been used by the ancient greeks, romans, even maya ppl and native indians (peace pipe anyone)..

I have no shame to admit i regularly smoke a joint, with friends, with my girl or alone while watching a movie or playing a game. Sure, like with every other thing too much is never good, but thats with beer and loadsof other stuff too... And sure it's addictive...

but then again, eating something you LOVE to eat (like pistachio or cashew nuts in my case) regularly doesn't make it that more harmfull.. it brings you at peace with the world (listen to bob marley's lyrics), calmer, more relaxed..

NEways... I'm not trying to promote the use of cannibis ( say NO to drugs kids) but i do promote the idea of legalizing it and thus keeping it your own choice like smoking ciggs or drinking beer...

From mother nature herself? So is deadly nightshade so you can't use that as an arguement. I've no problem with Cannabis mind, although there are suggestions it may be more carcinogenic than tobbaco, which is what's in peace pipes isn't it?

There is no easy way to do it. What may be a "personal" amount varies depending on age and circumstance. A rich 30 year-old could argue away far more than a 16 year-old with no job. Unfortunatly, it also means the mood of the copper is important, and some are arseholes to be blunt. Many will disagree with the law, and will enforce it more than others.

Festivals are always like that anyway, though actually blazing next to a cop is quite impressive. There will be "taking the piss" laws though, I remember hearing that blowing smoke in their face isn't on!

The cops are more interested in keeping the beer-heads from rioting at festivals anyway.

All anti-drugs stats must be scrutinised closely, as should the funding of the survey. The one you refer to is probably the one where the joints also have tobbaco in them, which is being smoked unfiltered! Of course it'll be stronger!! I remember other studies where they tried to turn the aging-hippies against it by claiming that todays weed is much stronger now. They had deduced this by taking a sample from a bust in the 70s that had been sitting in evidence lockers for years, and comparing with fresh stuff. I'm not accusing them of deliberately faking their research, wait, actually, I am. Most of these studies are fundamentally flawed when placed under scruitiny.
