i-TAP or similar

Greetings all,

I was wondering if you guys happen to know how to enable the i-tap on the smartphones. Im not sure thats what it's called on theses, but thats what its called on all my Moto-phones.

It the thing that figures out the word you are trying to spell out when txt messaging. So instance for "WHY" you would simply push 9-4-9 and not have to push 9-4-4-9-9-9.

I know smartphone supports this. If I cant do it Im going to have to use another phone since i do way too much txting.

It's called T9 :)

and you access it by pressing the * key when typing a text.

I tried doing that but it only seems to swicth the caracters between upper and lower case.

is this something that i need to install?

depending on the make and update/rom version on your phone, try holding the key or tapping it..

Post more details if this does not get it going.
