I'm not trying to be flippant or anything (well, OK, maybe just a little ;-) ) but deleting things usually works :)

And if you've installed any apps, then you could remove them and reinstall on the SD card ;)

sounds daft but friend had no room left on phone and said he couldnt find anything he could delete cause he needed it - i checked his homescreens/backgounds and he had tonnes! asked him how often he changed em and he said he always kept it the same. deleted the unused and gained back over a MB!!!

theres some old files used by the programmers left in some of the folders you could delete - just make sure the are not used for anything. I'm not sure, but i remember a while ago someone mentioned there might be a list of all the files you could delete available (or in development) so you could be sure you didnt delete anything important. anything come of it/anyone know about it?

and check ipsmwindowsappmgrinstall - anything there can be deleted, its just wasting space.

Also have a look in the IPSMMAPI folder this contains your

emails and sent SMS etc so emptying this can help as well.

(as long as you don't have emails you want)

get a 512 sd card ;) usually solves space issues... although I was confused yesterday as to why I only had 3 mb left... realised that I should delete DIVXs off the phone before putting more on :D heh... ah well you live and learn
