help with smart explorer

i am trying to install smart explorer, the cab file starts to download, then after about 3 seconds stops and says that it could not be installed, i looked in remove programs in the phone and found it there, but phone will not let me remove it, i cannot find the program anywhere on the phone. i have tried several cabs to install, but same problem with all of them, i suspect that the problem is with parts of the prog. being on my phone and is conflicting with the instalation. can someone help please :oops: :)

You need to look in IPSMWindowsAppMgrInstall for the file, and delete or run it

Depending which version of Activsync you have, you may only be able to view the install folder from the phone, but as you need a file explorer to do this you have a problem.

Ok so if you cannot see the Install folder the only option apart from a Hard reset is to either install Activsync 3.7 or to delete the AppMgr folder but doing this will prevent you from being able to delete any app or game you may have previously installed until you reinstall it.

Not the most simple of solutions i'm afraid.

I've encountered a similar problem where I can't seem to properly uninstall and reinstall Smart Explorer, as well as few other programs. They still appear in my Remove Programs list under Settings but the phone can't get rid of them. I followed the suggestion of our moderator by installing another file manager (All-Explorer trial version) in an attempt to delete the install folders of the offending programs only to find out that they're no longer listed! :?

With regards to unistalling Smart Explorer you should not have been

a problem reinstalling again, but you have also said other programs

have done this as well, which may indicate an underlying problem

with the phone.

As for reinstalling problems you may need to go into the registry

and remove the referance to the app you are trying to reinstall.
